But of course it was worth it because we got another picture of a light house......hehe
The entrance to New York Harbor - The Verrazano Narrows Bridge.....
The city as we approach.....funny how calm that water looks...............
I cannot tell you how many pic of the city we took. We docked at Liberty Landing, Jersey City, NJ within sight of The Statue...across the Hudson from Manhatten. T he night photos of the bridges and city are just as awesome......just too much to take in.
Staten Island Ferry...
THE LADY...I had not thought about how we would feel sitting right there on our own "Sea la Vie" looking up at the Statue of Liberty. It was just strange.......Ellis Island there as well.......and boat traffic everywhere. I think we both had little lumps in our throats.....as we took photos and motored around to get more shots than we can possibly show.................

Our marina...
This boat is the laundry and bath facilities for our Marina.............we never got to use it......Shucks.............a new facility is under construction.

When we got here....the inside of the boat was upside-down.....and the outside looked like a potato chip (extra salty).....so we did what every good sailor does and got her ship shape, inside and out...............WHEW..............Jerry decided we deserved a nice dinner......and most of a large glass of wine.........
We survived the day........and how could it have not been worth every minute................Up the next morning.....bright and early.....so much to see and so little time.......the State Park next to us was .....I have used every adjective.....but it was truly special......We rode our bikes at least 5 miles.....all green space for the city dwellers.....kids played, older and young walked .....and how different us Americans can live.....As we approach the George Washington Bridge heading up the Hudson ...Goodbye New York...
